No hike included - this spot is directly across from the parking lot and down a few flights of stairs to reach the sand.
Otters Point
• Allows 30 Ceremony Guests
• 12 minute drive from Bar Harbor
• No hike necessary there is parking right across from this location or you can choose to do the Ocean Path trail with is 4 miles total.
Sand Beach
• Allows 30 Ceremony Guests
• 12 minute drive from Bar Harbor
• No hike included - this spot is directly across from the parking lot and down a few flights of stairs to reach the sand.

Your Guide to Eloping in Acadia National Park
National Park Pass:
You’ll need a pass to get into the park which is $35 and you can get at the ranger stations. Or if you plan on doing some National Park hopping there is an America the Beautiful Pass for $80.
Marriage License:
• Ordained ministers of the gospel (if you want a ceremony with just you two, we are ordained through the Universal Life Church!)
• A person licensed to preach by an association of ministers, religious seminary, or ecclesiastical body
• Judges or justices (residents of Maine only)
• Lawyers admitted to the Maine Bar (residents of Maine only)
• Maine Notaries – Search for Maine Notaries by Location or Name
Ceremony Permit:
Permits are required for ceremonies with more than 10 people and the cost is $75. Here is the link to the form you will have to fill out and send in... Acadia National Park Permit.
You will also need two witnesses other than the officiant to sign your marriage license. Here is another great resource directly from Acadia National Park on the rules/regulations of getting married in the park.
